چکیده
The impacts of climate change are projected to become more intense and frequent. One the indirect is food insecurity. Agriculture in Pakistan, measured fourth best world, already experiencing visible adverse change. Among many other sources, potato crop remains one security crops for developing nations. Potatoes widely cultivated Pakistan. To assess impact on it imperative analyze its distribution under future scenarios using Species Distribution Models (SDMs). Maximum Entropy Model used this study predict spatial Potato 2070 two CMIP5 models (RCP 4.5 RCP 8.5). 19 Bioclimatic variables incorporated along with contributing like soil type, elevation irrigation. results indicate slight decrease suitable area growth drastic 8.5 both models. performance evaluation model based AUC. AUC value 0.85 suggests fitness thus, applicable production Sustainable cultivation needed increase productivity countries while promoting better resource management optimization.

Farmers’ Perception Regarding Impact of Climate Change on Wheat Crop Production in Layyah District-Pakistan
Pakistan is at 28th amongst the countries that are going to be hurt badly by climate change. It falls in ten major wheat-producing countries of the world in terms of area, production and yield per hectare. Global warming, as a result of climate change, may negatively affect morphological characters of wheat. The present study was undertaken in district Layyah to find out the impact of climate c...
متن کاملCrop productivity and adaptation to climate change in Pakistan
How effective adaptation practices in response to climate change are is a crucial question confronting farmers across the world. Using detailed plot-level data from a specifically designed survey conducted in 2013, this paper investigates whether there are productive benefits for farmers who adapt to climate change in Pakistan. The impact of implementing on-farm adaptation strategies is estimat...
متن کاملPredicting impacts of climate change on medicinal asclepiads of Pakistan using Maxent modeling
Maximum entropy (Maxent) modeling was used to predict the potential climatic niches of three medicinally important Asclepiad species: Pentatropis spiralis, Tylophora hirsuta, and Vincetoxicum arnottianum. All three species are members of the Asclepiad plant family, yet they differ in ecological requirements, biogeographic importance, and conservation value. Occurrence data were collected from h...
متن کاملAssessment of impact of climate change on potato and potential adaptation gains in the Indo-Gangetic Plains of India
India is the second largest producer of potato in the world. The Indo-Gangeticplains (IGP) is the main potato growing region accounting for almost 85% of the1.8 Mha under the crop in India where it is grown as an irrigated crop during thewinter season. Since IGP is in sub-tropical plains, duration of the thermally suitablewindow is the main determinant limiting yields. Hence the impact of clima...
